Lot of elk in that unit.  If you are in good shape, find a gated road, bike in a few miles, and start off with some cow calls until you get a response.  No response, bike in further and repeat.  Occasionally rip a bugle and see if that wakes them up.

We've had some amazing archery elk hunting in 506. We have bugled in a lot of bulls in this unit.  We approach it like we do all of our other elk hunting.  Use location bugle or optics to find elk, move in tight and challenge them.
