Hey Fellas, I'm new to the Forum. But heard this was the best place to go to get good advice. I drew the Blue Creek Archery tag Sept 5-24. I know there's a lot of private ground and need to start calling some of the landowners. Do you guys have any leads or advice for a young buck that is trying to kill his first Big Bull? Appreciate anything you've got.

Congrats

Another amazing first post. Welcome. I have some advice, and I'll speak for most, lace up your boots and put in your work. Then come back if you're having trouble. :sry:

i'd recommend getting landowner maps (like ON-X Maps app) start knocking on doors LAST WEEK! you don't have much time! my dad lives in the middle of 154 and ate a rifle elk tag because he waited too long to ask his NEIGHBORS. access can be TOUGH.
congrats on the draw and i hope you find a place to get on a monster bull! :hello:
-
My dad had a buddy that drew that tag. He says he wouldn't be surprised if the NF was closed come Sept.. Hope not though. Good luck

Unit is on fire. Last I heard was O% contained and 5000+ acres burned. Wind has blown 20+mph for 3 days, not good. :( :(

Just left there on Monday ...Not good. Daughter and I were going to scout a little and look around. We didn't get much of that in
Gonna have to head back over if there is anything left
just pulled this off the net
"BLUE CREEK FIRE, 9 miles from Walla Walla, Washington
About 600 firefighters on the ground and in the air are attacking the fire that has burned one home and nearly 6 square miles.
The blaze is not contained and officials are concerned about extremely hot and dry conditions as it burns grass, shrubs and timber.
Authorities have ruled out lightning as the cause and say it was likely started by people on Monday."

Tough unit for this year for an early season, hot, dry and mostly black

I guess that helping somone out is a bad thing to some people. Do people think because somone dosnt sit here and post stuff every day they may not have good connections and be able to help you someday if you would give them a little info. Ill help you kid hope you kill a stud.
