Went for a trail run today on the property I'll be hunting on in the fall, and spied a beautiful buck hanging out in the reprod. Already a 4×4 and his antlers still have a few months of growing to do! Saw this same buck last year eating apples, two weeks after the season ended. We'll see if he stays in the area long enough for me to get him. Sometimes I feel like hunting is a very drawn out trip to the grocery store. Ive done the easy part, I've picked out the meat I want to eventually fill my freezer with. Now I just have to hope that my meat doesn't get hit by a car, poached, and/or stays in the same general area until fall rolls around.
