Title: Who is thinking of switching from 250 late archery to either 336 or 342?

Post by: kirkl on June 30, 2015, 10:22:09 PM: No way I would switch to 342. That gmu plus surrounding gmu's is so low on harvest rates it pathetic. Have you not seen deer reports before deer seasons start. I live in 342 gmu and hunt in Winthrop area.

Just do a search on Swakane. There are multiple threads talking about 180" deer around every other corner, the trouble is getting past all of the 165" deer to get a shot at one of the 180" deer. Not to mention it is not that uncommon to see 2 or 3 200 plus inch deer in a day at a distance.

I hear the roads used to be bad in Swakane but they closed and gated all of those bad ones off for "safety" reasons. :chuckle:
