Title: south sound pinks/crabbing
Post by: Odell on June 24, 2015, 11:19:41 AM
Hey all,

I'm new to fishing the last couple years and brand new to boat fishing. I'm looking to get out in the south sound around browns point or the mouth of the puyallup, anywhere from Federal Way to Tacoma. Any tips on launches, how to fish pinks from a boat, or any crabbing suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm looking to get a little space from hucking buzz bombs off the beach or flossing on the puyallup and spend some time enjoying my boat.

I don't have down riggers yet, so mostly thinking of jigging. My Boat is a 16 ft Lowe Jon boat. Nothing fancy. Any suggestions? I know it doesn't pick up until August but I'd like to get out there and start learning before it gets crowded.

Thanks.

Redondo. Crab just south of the launch and then anchor up just south of that along the beach and cast your jigs to your heart's delight. Go check your pots after an hour. Rinse and repeat until limits are reached.
