Title: Anyone reload the .35 Whelen???
Post by: CP on January 08, 2009, 06:23:08 AM: If so what powder works best? Bullets? Also where can I find load data?

I have an inventory of Ramshot powders, X-terminator, Big Game, a little TAC left, but their load guide has no data for the Whelen.

Post by: 700xcr on January 09, 2009, 08:15:08 PM: When I own a 35 Whelen in the T/C Encore 15" handgun I loaded it with 49.0grs. of IMR 3031 with a Hornady 250gr. round nose. Used Federal large rifle gold match primer. Out of the 15" barrel I was getting 2100fps. and 1/4" groups off the bench at 50yds. with a Leupold 2x handgun scope. This gun shot very accurate but was a handful.

Most reloading manuals have data for the 55 Whelen.
