We have some property north of Tonasket and access to a great little cabin on Lake Alta and I am looking for decent places to upland hunt in between. I know the season is almost over but we are planning on heading that way over the long weekend (provided the passes are open). We have done a little hunting around Bridgeport Bar area, Foster Creek, and up along the Okanogan river mostly for quail. We have bought res permits in prior years and had limited success in the areas I mentioned. If someone knows of an area or two that would be worth a look for any upland birds in a week or so given the recent weather I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

RPM, is that Blue and Fish lakes near the southern end or little lakes further north. I love fishing Fish lake and have always done real well. Have not fished or even stopped by the other lakes in 20 years or so. Thanks for the information.

Anyone know how much snow is on the ground in the sinlaheekin? I love that whole valley from above Palmer right on out to the south end of fish lake and most of the way back to 97. Seen some great deer in there over the years.
Thanks for the info RPM and high country, if we end up there I let you know how we did.

Mossyoak, we may not have had much luck/success last weekend but there is always next year. If all goes well we could have three dogs next year and it sure would not take much to get more shooting. I still think a good time was had by all.
