Title: Lake Kapowsin
Post by: Slamadoo on July 22, 2015, 11:34:55 PM
Thinking of taking my kid out on Lake Kapowsin. I've never fished there before and would appreciate all advise. I'm mostly concerned with 3 questions. 1) Are there any motor restrictions? 2) Is the water level conducive to boats right now? 3) Would you leave your truck at the WDFW boat launch?

I have a 14' Hi-Laker w/ 5hp motor. I figure we can catch a lot of fish w/ worms and keep it interesting for him.

Thanks Fellas

yes there is a public launch off the orrivlle rd side and you can use motors just be careful and go slow, lots of stumps.. word of advice, troll just a night crawler under the power lines just as its getting light or as its getting dark, there are nice trout in there, of course it aweful warm right now so probably not much good for eating.. pan fish are abbundant in there, great perch and crappie and some of the biggest blue gill around
