Title: Conconully Reservoir
Post by: 7mmfan on July 24, 2015, 12:32:39 PM
So I'm going to be camping there next Friday the 31st thru Aug 3rd. I've never been there before. I know there is great bass fishing, trout fishing, and some kokanee fishing. My father in law is not much of a fisherman but wants to give it a shot. I was planning on spending most of our time focusing on bass figuring the action could be good. If anchoring and fishing powerbait for trout or trolling is worthy, I may give that a shot too. Any input?

The other question I have is, is it acceptable to tube/waterski/wake board on this lake? I have access to a ski boat and the wife/M.I.L. would love to spend some time in the water. Never having been there I want to make sure this is acceptable there.

I was at the lake last week tues thru sat, lots of trout being caught and several people in ski boats on lake, should be plenty to do  :twocents: water level is down a bit though.

Great ATV riding too. It's 100% legal as long as you're legal.

Trout fishing is great there. I've had the most success using powerbait.

I target kokanee when I go. Upper lake is good.

I've also caught kokanee from the bank on the lower lake.

We're shoving off early Friday morning and setting up camp at Shady Pines. We're going to be bringing a ski boat and a small 12' aluminum to fish out of. I'll probably do some trolling and still fishing for trout, but am very interested in doing some smallmouth fishing, any key areas I can get into without the aid of a depth finder? I have lots of tube jigs for some deeper water jigging.

I limited on trout last year there before my buddy could get his hook tied on... That was from the bank on the north side.
