I am looking to pick up a case tumbler and wanted some input on brands to look at and ones to stay away from, for rifle brass only. Thanks

I have a Lyman 1200 that's been going strong for 25+ years. It's quiet too. I can even put my wife's silver items in it and that keeps her happy.

I have a Midway 1292 and a Lyman 1200 (from Cabela's). Both have given me trouble-free service, and they get used a lot.

I also have a Lyman 1200 and has worked for me well so far.

Hornady for me.

I have an orange one, Lyman?, you could borrow. I'm not sure the next time I will have time to use it.

Hornady tumbler and an RCBS Ultrasonic.

Mine is a Frankford Arsenal tumbler. Works great.

I've been happy with the Lyman 1200 tumbler.
I also have a Dillon media separator. Very handy for after tumbling the cases. You just dump the tumbler into the cage, give it a few turns, and all tumbling media falls out of the cases into the bottom. Beats having to turn each case upside down to drain it.

Thanks for all the input  I picked up the Lyman 1200 today and got it going on some 30.06 brass. Thanks guys

X2 I don't think there is anything that cleans brass as well as S.S. media in a rotary tumbler.
I've been using a Thumler tumbler and the same bag of S.S. media for 8 years now and I'll never need to replace it. I got into using S.S. media before it was as popular as it is now and Thumler Tumblers was what everyone used so that's what I bought but now there are other rotaries that are easily available, too. Can't comment on the other brand of rotary tumblers but I can say, first hand, Thumler makes a very good product.

I have a Cabelas and have had no problem. I would buy that one again or Frankford, whichever was cheaper. I think Frankford has a kit that includes a rotary separator which I would definitely do.
