My cousin is supposed to go on a guided fishing trip in the morning at baker lake in watcom county. He was talking with a couple guys at the boat launch a little bit ago and they said it was illegal to be guided on baker lake? What do you guys think, have you ever heard of this? I need quick responses so I can let him know tonight before I hit the sack. Thanks

Yes. All commercial operations are prohibited.

Thanks for the info, I will pass it on to him. My other question (I haven't read your link yet), could he get in trouble or only the guide?

I'm curious as to how a guided trip would be considered a commercial operation? You don't have to have a commercial license to be a guide. I read nowhere in your link where it says a guided trip is illegal. Maybe I'm confused, but I have friends who have commercial licenses to fish and also have friends who don't who guide....?

Appears that guides are allowed now. http://www.northwestfishingreports.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22076
