,,,,Sad news at the home front yesterday. I had to throw away my most favorite fishing pole . After putting a new tip on it I gave it a little flip test and it broke once more. Its just too brittle to fish with. That was the best fish catching rod that I've owned. Sad, Sad, Sad.

Just have comfort in knowing that your rod is in a better place now. It no longer has to bend, stretch and break. RIP old trusty rod, you will be missed but not forgotten.

Also a reason to go buy a new favorite!

Was it a Lamiblast?

I've got a Wright McGill I've had since '73 with a Winona reel on it. They're both on the wall now. Happiness is a bent rod!

When's the memorial service?

Dang I thought they are like golf clubs!! Just haul another one out of the group. :chuckle:
Maybe I need an intervention. :dunno:

It's people like you who devalue rod life. Is the life of one lone rod not valuable? Have the efforts of the parent in question to save this rod been in vain? Tony was steadfast and brave in the shadow of impending doom, yet you mock with your multiple rods. Hoarder! Hoarder!

Bet there are a lot of bass and ling cod happy to see it go even maybe a salmon.

"All rods matter"
We need to make some signs and teeshirts, start a rally, get some publicity.

The few seconds after you hear that sound and the sickening feeling sinks that it really just broke is never fun, especially when it's an old favorite.
RIP
