Awsome Bone, is that a falcon?
-
Hey Bone, I think that is an immature male cooper's hawk?
-
I'll put one up of a little doe in my yard a couple weeks ago. Damn it was cold...

Thats a COOL and I mean in many ways....PICTURE

Thanks Bone, I took it during the really cold snap in mid Dec. I think it was about 2 or 3 degrees outside. I had to crop it because I shot it thru the balusters on the deck and you could see them.

Nice pic Headshot, I like the way you can see the crystals in the hair. Here is another boring sheep pic.
-
Thanks Huntnphool, I like how the sheep are the same color s as the backgraund, kinda looks like the painting of winter scenes with something hidden in the background. I can't remember the lady right now...but still very cool pics.
Here is another of her brother from the same time. He was dead asleep

Actually we got a warm spell last week. Just in time to melt the snow before my snowshoes arrive on Tuesday :bash:
There was a ton of flooding throughout the palouse region. I did not see a single coyote or bird the whole trip. Which was to be expected since I threw a rifle and shotgun in the pick-up. I am loving everyone's deer and sheep pics.

nice work rob...
600mm??
where'd that come from?
rental?
-
I think the Porsche would have to go Josh before I purchased a $9,000.00 lens or I would be sleeping with both out in the garage, you can rent them pretty cheap for a couple good days of shooting.
-
Great pics!!!!!

Head-shot- I think the lady you're thinking of is Bev Doolittle. She does awesome paintings.
No snow but freezing fog the morning I took these shots.

Wow, GREAT picture Ricochet. I love it how everything is out of focus in the picture except for the deer head. Big buck. I gotta get down there with you and cameraguy. That is one of my regrets those trips didn't happen this year. I won't make the mistake again.
-
Pope-
I'd like to take credit for planning the buck shot but actually it was just too dark to shoot any way except wide open. Remember, the old 80-400 VR isn't the fastest glass around but its what I've got so I try to do my best. Set aside some time next November, the rut is definitely the time to be shooting those bucks. Hope to see you then.

We'll get there Pope. Its a must.

too cool 8) Love the sheep. That last muley pic is my favorite though
