I am looking at the Kuiu guide jacket, but I was curious what your experience has been with sizing. I am right between a L and an XL. My Sitka 90% jacket is a XL, but I tried on a Jetstream and the L fit good.
Do any of you have a recommendation for the Kuiu Guide Jacket?

The XL should work for you. Kuiu is more athletic cut than Sitka.

I'm 6'4" 230, 36-38 waist, 44 long suit, I wear XL KUIU and it fits well. I gotta watch my mid section or the stuff gets tight, but that's true with most clothes. :chuckle:

I'm thinking XL if your in between. I run a L in all their tops. I'm 175 and 5'9".

I'm 6'3" 195 and have there XL guide pants and 1/4 zip shirt and they fit well. I ordered the XL Guide jacket over 3 months ago and it still hasn't been shipped >:( I suggest ordering your gear ASAP.

Thanks for the feedback. I just called Kuiu to check on my gators I ordered 3 months ago, and wend ahead and ordered the Guide jacket. They are expecting them in the end of this month (but that is that they have been telling me about my gators...)

I don't have the Kuiu Guide Jacket but here's my experience with other pieces.
Kuiu arm length runs a bit longer than Sitka; Kuiu pieces are trimmer cut in the waste and more generous in the shoulder. I'm 6'1", 180 with broad shoulders and a narrow waist so the Kuiu athletic cut pieces fit me perfectly...almost like they are custom made for me. Sitka's size L is a little too short in the arms and snug in the shoulders but if I step up to a XL then the waist is huge.
I tried to buy the Kuiu Guide Jacket for 4 consecutive months last year and it was never in stock so gave up and went with the Sitka Jetstream. I've been happy with the Sitka in XL it's just too loose around the waist. I don't use a softshell on backcountry hunts so the jetstream is mostly for wearing to work or as a light winter jacket when hiking and snowshoeing in dry conditions.
