Title: Springfield Model 52~A .22 caliber
Post by: Trapper John on August 17, 2015, 06:29:42 PM
Years ago when I was a young kid, I went hunting for squirrels with my 22 single shot Springfield Model 52-A.  The day I went the weather started out nice but by afternoon it turn into a full blown whiteout snow storm.  I was with a buddy and I had a sock gun case that I used.  We put both guns in there but the only way mine would fit is I had to take out the bolt.  I put the bolt in my jacket pocket and while walking down this big hill, I fell and tumbled down the hill for fifty yards or more.

When I got home I notice the bolt was gone.  The snow storm stopped three days later so I went back up to see if I could find it.  There was so much snow I couldn't even see where we walked down the hill.  So I went back in spring and I couldn't even think of where we could of walked.  Bolt was gone for ever.

So my question is: would any of you know where I could find one (maybe you have an old bolt laying around that might fit) or know of a business that might have old bolts?  I've tried Pawn / Gun Shops but they don't have any.

On the rifle it says:

Try Numrich online or gunbroker (usually a little more expensive) or even Ebay
