Title: Intestine hanging out of bull?
Post by: Snookmonster on August 26, 2015, 06:12:43 PM: It's on his left side in front of back leg. Date and time on cameras are correct he shed his antlers in one day.

if it was an intestine it would fall out more and could get pulled out by a branch or brush

Post by: CoryTDF on August 27, 2015, 08:21:46 AM: My dad shot a buck a few years back that had huge bumps and hanging flaps of discolored skin on it. I called the WDFW and officers came out and looked at the buck. They said it was cattle warts. They told me they are similar to moles like we get. I was told there was no harm in eating the meat and after the hide was taken off the deer looked just like any other that I have seen. Not sure that is what this is but it is a possibility.

From what I've been told is when they eat sometimes they'll get "chee" grass lodged in they're throat or digestive track. It'll push the grass out, similar to the way of a "sliver". :dunno: Just a guess though.
