Title: Elk hit on I-5
Post by: Tacbeav on September 01, 2015, 01:43:58 PM: Driving North from Olympia this morning, Coming up the hill out of Nisqually, I saw where an elk had been hit and killed along the freeway. Not a place I would have expected that to happen. I hope whoever hit it was not injured.

Post by: Mudman on September 01, 2015, 02:14:17 PM: 22 years ago a cow was hit right at the Old Nisqually road entrance ramp Northbound. Totally destroyed that car. Early morning. Not sure if this same spot you refer too?

Pretty sure you have to go up a hill either direction out of Nisqually. :hello:

Buy a topo map, it's a valley.

Been here 21 years and never seen elk this close to town. Just wondering what made them come down this far?

This was pretty close to the northbound exit ramp.
