I had 2 of my cams just stop taking pictures on me. They both crapped out at the same time and it seemed to coincide with the recent change in weather. They just won’t trigger now.
Anyone else have this problem with their cams?
What do you do about it, besides throw them away?

Try pulling the batteries out for a day or so and see if they start worked ng again. I've had them lock up before and this worked.
-
Thanks. I'll try that.

What brand of cams are they?
-
One is a Wild Game Innovations the other is a Tasco.

One of my Bushnell's did the same thing. Had it for a few years. Figured I was just going to have to trash it :(

If you can't get them working think about keeping them for decoy cams if the situation arises where one could be beneficial.
-
That's good thinking! Fortunately I've never had a problem with my cams getting stolen. Heck, in the years I've been hunting my spot I've probably seen others only twice. (Yes, I realize that can change, but anybody getting near where I place my cams will work their tails off to get close.

Moisture?
I would pull the batteries and put them in a warm environment like near the heat vent on the floor. Couple days.

I think that's what it was with mine. Moisture and electronics don't mix so well.

Might try reformatting your SD cards as well. I had that issue with my Wildgame Innovation cam this year....downloaded onto my computer and placed back into the cam but it wouldn't capture photos until I reformatted. Worth a try anyhow.

You running lithium batteries or just basic alkaline?
