I'm looking at Idaho this year for maybe some whitetail hunting. I have a ruff trip planned with my cousin but not sure if that will pan out with schedules. So I have been looking at maps and seasons and topo's. I like the looks of 8A. Plus it looks like with 2 general tags a elk and a deer there might be a few places to hunt both elk and whitetail center fire season. So if anyone has any experience with this unit. I would love to ask a few more questions if someone wants to send me a pm that's fine as well.
Is state of Idaho parks and rec area's and us forest service lands open to the public to hunt?

I dont hunt 8a...but i do hunt idaho quite a bit. Feel free to pm me and i could give you a hand.

what do you wanna know? its a big unit and a lot of different terrains! but good whitetail hunting! elk is good but a lot of pressure and private land with a lot of depredation and cow tags
