Title: first hunt for the tank
Post by: metlhead on September 14, 2015, 04:53:23 PM: Got out this morning with my 10 month old for his first gun hunt. Four points on birds, none to bag. We got cut short by a porcupine which will hopefully curb his appetite for unique sniffs! Looking forward to this years quail season with both my dogs. Let's see some some good GWP pics

Post by: JODakota on September 14, 2015, 05:00:30 PM: Good looking dog! I shot over my six month old setter for the first time today. Next time you run into an undesirable you should trash break them. It may seem cruel, but I'm not losing my dog to a porky or an other animal.

Post by: metlhead on September 14, 2015, 07:06:21 PM: Broke the older dog a few years back on his porky, this dog went fast, I was sure it was another bird. Small quills so it was easy. Sucks to see them pin the lips to the gums though. Momma's giving him mega loves tonight, soft food and all. I get torn up and recieve the "should have stayed home" bit.
