I've got a pile of arrows that need re-fletching and I'd like to start doing it myself. I shoot Easton FMJ's with wraps and 4-fletch Blazers. My question is, what fletch jig is best and what sort of adhesive would I want? Also, is it easy enough to learn quick by watching some YouTube videos?
Thanks!

Get a bitzenberger.

Get a bitzenberger.
Left or right helical? Is it just personal preference?

With a lot of arrows to fletch I'd use a multi fletcher. With the glue we used years ago, we waited 20 min between feathers. I have a multi fletcher gathering dust, I'd sell it for $50.00. Thats cheaper then a used bitzenburger.

Right helical or you can do an off set with a straight clamp.

Bitzenberger with a right clamp. I use elmers crazy glue. Works great.

So I would want to get the Bitzenberger dial-o-fletch with right clamps and I'll be good for blazer 4 fletch and a multitude of other flethings?

Do a search about this subject and see what RADSAV has to say? He has some real good info about it and gluing fletches.

I use an Arizona ez fletch. Super simple and "ez" to use.

I have thought about getting one of those also. Seems way faster. I know all the pro shops use Bitzenberger's but they have like 50 of them on a rotisserie. Haha

Yeah i would recommend it, not a whole lot to screw to up when you're putting the fletching on. I think the downside of the ez fletch is that you're not able to adjust anything but it works great for me.

Another vote Bitz! I have 4 on a lazy Susan and using fletch tite glue I can just keep rolling through. I 4 fletch 75/105 with good results. Caution: once you start fletching your own all your buddy's will be at your door step too :chuckle:

I am using an EZ Fletch mini that a friend gave me. It works well except with Blazer vanes.
