Hi there all. So new guy here pretty much new to everything with hunting been watching videos and reading and I'm feeling pretty good. I've been going out almost every day for as long as I can. Most places I have to walk in a couple miles. So tonight I went to a new place due to the fact that I was not seeing deer at the one place. Seen lots of prints but after I rubbed them out to check if they where there in the morning there not. So tonight I go to my new spot. I walk in a good 2.5 miles mostly ten year reprod. Get back in to a clear cut I can see two others on the hill and road in front of me 200 yards out. I find a half burned slash pile that makes a great blind tall and deer tracks on both sides I sit in there from 6:30pm to 8pm and I was glossing but I did not see anything. I guess my question is do I keep going to the same place would that be over hunting it? or keep chasing sign? I know I need to scout more next year but for now any help would be great.

Welcome aboard! :hello:
Thats a long way to hike if you're not actually seeing deer. Try something new if you've got it pre scouted via maps/software.

Stupid Blacktail
If it's raining go hunting.
If it not raining, you might see something.

I've hunted areas that I know have over 50 blacktail deer per square mile and not seen deer for entire days.
