Looking to give the Humptulips a shot this fall, but I think it would be worth the cost of a guide before I try to bounce my way down it on my own.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good guide to go with? (not sure if a public endorsement would violate the board's rules, but if so, a PM would be appreciated).

He had 3 of my friends out this morning and was limited by 11:30

Nicest guide you will ever meet...plus he knows how to put his clients on the fish !!

Awesome, sounds like a winner. Thanks for the referral!
I'll give him a call and see if he's got space this fall.

Jake is a good friend of mine. I fish a lot and catch my share of fish but I learn something everytime I fish with him. Last I heard ,he's booked up through the season and part of next on the hump. If you call him up you might be able to get in on cancellation. If not book a trip now for next year, it's worth it. He also fishes other rivers in Washington pretty much year round except for July he guides in Alaska. Fishiest guy I know

Just checked with Jake and not surprisingly he's booked solid. Next year I'll have to get my stuff together earlier! :bash:

Any good guide (and well established) will be booked up well in advance. If they aren't, there is usually a reason.
