I just got a Weatherby Vanguard Varmint. . .20" (maybe 22". . .doesn't say on the barrel or the box and I haven't measured it yet, but it's not a long varrel) #3 contour barrel in .22-250 Remington. . .
. . .gotta get a scope and a bipod, but I would like to know what the other .22-250 shooters are using. . .
. . .brand, bullet weight, sighted in at. . .drops, etc. . .
Thanks!!!

50-55gr noslers bt are what I was shooting, Hornady's or Federals have bt loaded up for it too.

I shoot 55 gr Winchester silvertips out of my Savage. Likes it pretty well.

Hornady V-Max 50 gr shoots the best in mine.

Thanks guys. . .I was planning on shooting the 55 grain BT's because they have a higher BC and looked to have the best ballistic's charts of all the factory loaded bullet weights. . .looks like you guys are shooting the same thing so I must not be too far off in my thinking.
Thanks again!!!

:)45 -55 grain, I like Noslers, Sierras. in factory loads like winny white box 45 and Hornady Varmit express 55.
My 22-250 must be real slow tho. ;)
my 55 grain load is at:
3650 fps 2 inch high at 100, dead nuts about 230-250 , 3-5 inch low at 300, 12-14 low at 400.
All my books and shooting experience tell me that 1.1 high at 100 is on at 200, 5-6 low at 300, and 16-18 low at 400.
The 45 grain seems to drop a little more past 300 yards, not much.
This is a great cartridge, one of my all time favs, but it aint magic.
