Title: What would this bull score?
Post by: Caseknife on September 25, 2015, 06:50:40 AM
Watched this bull through the spotting scope in Wyoming a few years ago before opening day.  Curious as to what he would score.  We got sidetracked the next morning and my partner killed a 340 bull.  I haven't been drawn yet.  I know this bull is long gone, but there was lots of his genes spread around.  Hopefully next year I will get the nod.

hard to say without being able to see the length of the bottoms. Every bit of 370", likely a fair amount better than that if has long bottoms.  A very awesome looking bull for sure! Seeing a bull like that on a hunt is good times, a 340" down is great too!

That big bull had his 8-10 cows and a spike on the far side of the drainage away from all the action on our side.  He didn't have to work very hard to keep his cows corralled and didn't have any competition.  He was an old bull, his body was huge.

I agree with BLUEBULLS, every bit of 370". Looks like at least a 6x7. Quick rule of thumb I always use when I field judge is if it all of its tines are 14" (or longer) on a 6x6 you definitely break the 350" mark. This brute exceeds that and then some. With the mass and length on those mains, this guy is pushing even the 380" mark. Hope you draw next year. I would love to see more pictures. Thanks for sharing.
