Title: Stocking Lakes
Post by: dmv9 on October 07, 2015, 09:16:30 AM
In general, if a lake is going to be stocked with trout, is it good to fish it immediately after it gets stocked or is it better to wait a day or two to let them get acclimated?

I'm sure some of you already know the lake I'm talking about :)

Thanks!

Guess that's your choice, But I have seen when they are released schools of the that didn't bite anything. The other thing to consider is they have been fed a diet of pellets. Yuck!!! I like to let them forage in the lake and perhaps get a better taste.

Nothing better than a pasty white trout Fillet!!
