I need new shocks on my pickup and want the best. Bilstien is what I'm thinking but does anyone have an alternative? Am I paying for name and there are cheaper options?

Bilstien..........

Bilstein 5100's are pretty good and not that expensive.

I run Fox on both of my jk unlimited rubicons and my silverado and love them, i did notice a change in ride

Bilstiens are good shocks. I've always liked Rancho on my trucks

Bilstiens, they came stock on my Dodge and they are great!

Bilstein 5100s are great, probably one of the best until you step up in price significantly

What kind of truck? An f350 has different needs than a Toyota.
I do run bilstein 5100s on my duramax.....but it's a pavement princess.

Hard to go wrong with Bilstein 5100's on a daily/hunting rig. Reliable and great warranty. Fox, and King are great as well but are higher priced. If you enjoy playing with suspension settings those 3 all offer adjustable versions but the price reflects it.
I'm curious which vehicle as well. They are not all equal.

I can also confirm that Bilstein shocks are the best, one of our best selling products. Their 5100 Series Steering Dampers are designed specifically to help you maintain complete command of your truck, van or SUV at all times. A 5100 Series Steering Damper is essential when upgrading to larger wheels and tires to ensure proper steering control. Also they are covered with a lifetime warranty. http://www.carid.com/bilstein/
