Title: Columbian White Tail?

I noticed these things are endangered.  If I'm hunting on JBLM am I in danger of mistaking one for a black tail?

Don't think there are Columbia whitetails on jblm.

as far as i know, they're pretty much confined to the refuge down by cathlamet in this state.

I have seen them along ways from the refuge

Youl know rite away tho...completely different bird

Thanks for the replies...last thing I want to do is crack a trophy buck and find out I killed Cecil the Lion :)

I don't know, the one in the pic might be happy if you shot her, put her out of her bling misery.   :chuckle:
