Title: Where are the deer?

I wont see the woods till better weather shows up, and all the opening day guys go back to work.

I haven't heard any shots either and that is unusual for opening day.

Thought I would move to another larger clear cut, Seen a guy Running :dunno:. Now Im listining to some dude just wasting ammo about 1-2 miles away and hoping a buck will come into the clear cut this evening. Just a typical blacktail hunt, Sit in a clearcut hoping your far enough away so other hunters wont get to where you are, see tons of sign, deer trails but dont see any animals at all except birds. :bash:

Post by: Stumps on October 17, 2015, 07:14:04 PM: There was not a shot fired that I heard until near the end of the day. Where I was I would be able to hear anything within a few miles. Did not see a single deer all day, except the cell phone pic my wife sent me from my backyard (2 pt.). There were people everywhere in Ashford. Saw about a dozen elk, including a little bull. not seeing so much as a doe all day sucks.
