Why is it that some people have the incessant need to screw with other people? I've been scouting an area for about 8 weeks now and have a game cam up watching a major trail. This is in an obscure spot that nobody thinks to walk into. Anyways, I have been pulling video from there weekly with no issues. This week, I go by my game cam to grab the card and somebody turned my camera off and took the card. Why the hell would you do something like that? Whats the purpose?
All I can say is I am 80% sure I know who did it (as I ran into them 2 weeks ago) and I am 99% sure I will see you in there during the upcoming season (since it isn't a spot hunters normally go). I guess paybacks can be a *%&^$.
Gets under my skin!

I guess you can't say its a place nobody walks into anymore. I have always lived by the rule that if I found it you can bet your butt someone else has as well. There are a few reasons why some tool would do that. But none of them are legitimate. Look at the bright side.......at least they didn't take your camera.

I totally agree. I do still have the camera, but still. I am more annoyed about my time that they wasted than the cost of the card. I actually found that fewer animals frequent that spot than I thought. I doubt i'll hunt it much, but it is more the principle. If I find a cam, I might do something to give him a funny video, but I wouldn't think of taking it or messing with it. Sometimes I just don't get why people do things.

Use a few ladder sticks and hang your cams up a ways. Folks don't look up much, and they can't reach them.
Secret places are just places you don't know others know about. LOL!

There is a saying among product designers..."If you think you have an original idea, you haven't done enough research." Sometimes I think hunting spots are a lot like that. ;)
I too am surprised you still have your camera. Usually a thief is a thief, aren't they? Maybe a lady got caught in a squatting position and took it to avoid social media exposure. :dunno: My wife has come close to being caught a few times!
At least it wasn't a costly learning experience. Bear boxes and locks won't stop everyone, but at least they will stop the average guy...or gal.
