Title: deer keds?
Post by: dwils233 on October 19, 2015, 05:16:29 PM: I bagged a whitetail up by davenport this weekend and kept the hide to tan. It is covered in small bugs that look just like ticks but some have wings? looked around on line and its deer keds (I think). Anyone notice a large amount of bugs on their deer this year?

Post by: bobcat on October 19, 2015, 05:30:00 PM: The only time I remember seeing a lot of those "ticks with wings," was in Klickitat County. The deer I killed was covered with them, and ticks too. That was in 2008. I'm not sure I've ever seen them anywhere else.
