Man, it was bad this year......
I was driving slowly up and down the logging road all morning looking for a buck, and the dang road hunters kept coming by. :bash: :bash: :bash:
I hate it when people do that.
Eventually I got so disgusted that I just pulled into one of my dummy camps and took a nap. On the bright side, there was another dummy camp near by with a cooler full of beer on ice, so that was refreshing.
The weekend wasn't a total loss, though. I found a brand new abandoned tree stand.

We ought to hunt together sometime. We have similar interests.
I lost my camera two weeks ago too so we have that in common.

did you scoop up a buck without shooting ? saves on ammo .

:yeah:
Buy a good set of running shoes instead of ammo, whoever gets the tag on it first gets the deer is how we roll.

Sorry for you dissapointment in WA rifle deer season. FYI the cold beer you stole from my occupied camp means that the ice in the cooler per the WAC means its an occupied camp and the LEO is out looking for your camera so they have proof they owe me another 10 points towards all my special permitted apps!!!!!! :IBCOOL:

Yeah, I can see this one going sideways real fast but I bet it'll be ironically funny as he11 until it does. :chuckle:
Also, the way I understand it, if you run one down with your truck, it not only saves on ammo but you technically don't have to tag it and can keep hunting as long as it was an "accident" ;) ;)

I would say you didn't get out early enough to get him in the headlights and use that fancy brush guard to wack him... :chuckle: then have that beer from the dummy camp as you gut him at the campsite.. Maybe tomorrow you will be able to get a bear at that camp too!

You should put your dummy camps at each end of the logging road, right in the middle of the road. That way there will be less road hunters using your road.

Was a very busy opening weekend. I gave up and took time off during the week after ruts gets rocking.
-
Should of went out to C post instead

Hahahahaha EPIC lol

It bothers me that they don't trim the alders back far enough so that when I'm driving down the road with my loaded fully automatic assault rifle with the M203 grenade launcher, my barrel gets scratched. That's just not sporting!

I was wondering if anyone would bite.
I did see one reply from a disgruntled guy (but he deleted it as soon as he figured out I was fibbing).
We had a great deer hunt. Public land. very low pressure. Lots of deer. Went 2 for 4. saw a couple whoppers we couldn't close the deal on. (this part is actually true)

You need to get those snaps screwed onto your tool box so you can snap some pads on top like boats have, all that bouncing around on the diamond plate will make you tired and sore.
-
Hope you left some beer in that camp. I'll be over your way on Saturday :chuckle:
-
I hear ya Dan O. I was road hunting hard this last weekend and so many road hunters totally screwed up "my" road hunting roads.

This is the best thread to date. Lol I saw the serious response and had to go back to your ghost camp and take a cold beer to stop laughing... hope someone didn't catch me on their camera taking a poo in their tent before giving bigfoot a high five and a six pack to go out of your ice cooler full of beer.
You know what bugs me? All the dang hunters hiking in and ruining your road hunting. I feel your pain brother!

Here is the best way to do it.
Bootleather roadhunting: Slowly walk down the middle of the road and don't let ANY trucks pass you. :chuckle: :chuckle:
