Title: Big Boar
Post by: TrailTreker85 on October 20, 2015, 12:03:16 PM: Finally getting around to get this guy posted. I shot him back in September while I was out archery hunting for deer with a couple buddies. I have been hunting this guy hard for the last 2-3 years now and this year I finally could make it happen. I shot him at 50 yards with my Hoyt and he didn't run but 60 yards before piling up into a ball.

Post by: TrailTreker85 on October 20, 2015, 03:06:16 PM: Thanks guys. Didn't have a scale big enough. My neighbor had a scale that went to 300 and it was well past that. I will be picking the skull up this weekend from the taxidermist and measuring it when I am there. If I had to guess I would say he was 450 or more. He was a super old bear that had been eating very well this year. He also had some battle wounds that made me think he was the bad boy of the area.

I asked about a life size but could not afford it with just having my second child and loosing my hunting/fishing room to her. I am having a rug done up and can't wait for it to be done.

Post by: TrailTreker85 on February 15, 2016, 03:58:37 PM: Finally got my skull measured this weekend and I made P&Y with a score of 18 12/16. This is an all time best for me and could not be happier. I can not wait for the up coming season to get here.

Thanks man. It has been a long couple of months waiting to finally get the thing scored and now an even longer wait for my rug to be finished.
