Title: Cleaning a Mt. Goat rug
Post by: Mooserack on October 22, 2015, 07:12:22 PM
Hello.
Im looking for suggestions on how to clean a Mt.Goat rug. I have had one hanging on the wall for about 10 years now. I took it down to hang up an Elk rack. While the rug is down I would like to clean it. I have dusted it ofter over the years but its looking a little gray.
It is applied to a felt backing and there is some quilting material between the goat and the felt.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks.
PB

Use a vacuum with a brush attachment on a wand and go the direction that the hair is laying.

You should take it to a taxidermist that knows what they are doing if you would like it white and clean again. if not cleaned properly can cause damage to it.
