rattled in a small 3 point around 11 am. Went to shoot him and operator error on my BLR 243, forgot to pull the hammer back, I had a previous encounter with this buck and since I rattled him in (my first) I was going to kill him, not to be.So I hiked back out to my quad and went in search of other areas to try. Came back to the 3 point spot to wait till dark and see if he would come back out.I climbed up into my stand around 4 pm (big rock) A little before 6pm I hear a grunt from behind me, I turn around and spot a huge 3 point, rutted up and tending a doe. He was 100 yards 4 shots before I got him on the ground. When your sighted in for 200 yards I need to hold lower again operator error. Getting him out was one difficult challenge, He weighs 205 hanging so I'm sure over 250lbs. live. His antlers are 21.5 wide.

When your excited that 1.5" between 100 and 200 can seem like a foot :chuckle: Way to recover and get it done. That qualifies as Big, Monsterous, Fabulous, Daddy Warbuck in my book. Congratulations!
