Could somebody please give me some ideas for a good elk roast recipe for my crock pot. Thank you and I hope ya'll are filling your tags!

Elk roast, chunked up potatoes, onions, carrots, mushrooms, pour a can of cream of mushroom soup over the top with a can of water. I used to do this the night before with a frozen roast and just put in the fridge until morning.

Season some flour with pepper and Johnny's (or whatever you like) and roll the roast around in it to coat. Brown in a skillet very good on all sides. Throw it in the crockpot with some chunked up onions and mushrooms and dump in a bottle or 2 of Guinness Stout, depending on the size of the roast and cook until tender. This works really well with bear too.

season roast (salt, pepper, garlic powder, johnys season salt), sear all sides in hot skillet (no oil), put in crock pot, add crushed garlic (3-4 cloves) then taters, carrots, onions, and mushrooms (can also add celery and drained corn if ya want, I dont eat the celery its just for flavoring)... no water.. set crock pot on low for about 8 hours, remove roast and vegies, let roast set for about 10-15 minutes before slicing.. there will be about an inch or two of juice in pot, strain this into a sauce pan and make gravy.. enjoy

Use some dry Italian salad dressing. Coat the roast and place in the crock pot with water for a couple hours on High. Then add peppers (and some pepperoncini juice) and onions and cook low for 4/6 hours or until desired doneness. Remove and let rest, slice and place on hoagie rolls with onions and pepper. Top with mozzarella or provolone cheese. Heat in the oven to melt cheese and serve.

16 oz. Beef Broth
Potatoes
Carrots
Salt and pepper the roast. Brown outside of roast in a hot pan.

I take a roast and poke it with a large fork all over then season the outside with salt and pepper and minced garlic patted on it like a rub, place it in your crock pot and pour some Soy sauce and Worcester over it. Then in a bowl mix up a can (or two depending on the size of roast) of cream of mushroom soup and a packet of dry onion soup mix and then pour that over. I like to season it then set it over night then in the morning mix the soup and dry packet and put it all together before heading to work.
