Post by: huntnfmly on October 31, 2015, 01:24:16 AM
Howdy
I am thinking about taking my daughter and her boyfriend down to Skookumchuck wildlife area for late archery elk and late muzzleloader deer just curious how hard that area gets hit at those times? Heading down next week to do some scouting.any insight would be great. You can send pm if you like.
Thanks jim

Moderate to heavy for deer and elk. But if it's a bird release day it looks like the Thurston co fair out there.

No brainer secret, bring waders and cross the river if it's low. Not many folks hit the fields.

It's a pretty small area with a lot of pressure.  I would have a backup plan ready.  A lot of the area across the river is owned by Trans-alta, but it is huntable.
