Kids had just enough snow time (barely) to balance out the glassing. They just told Mom about all the critters they saw, and how little Clara spotted the biggest buck of all. Good times.

Should be lots of new snow last night and today (looks like Stevens has about 6" of new), things should be working out well for your days off. Can't wait to see the results!

We ran into you and your kids up there on Saturday! My buddy had the tag and I was up helping him spot. Saw some nice bucks but way too much time to pull the trigger! I'll be up with him again this weekend if your around we will stop and talk some more.
Yes, nice chatting with you as well! Glad to connect on here. Looking at all the nice bucks and deciding which one is right is a big part of the fun. It can also be frustrating! Much easier with the camera. :chuckle: Unfortunately I'm out of town next weekend and will miss the festivities, but will look forward to see what your buddy and 180-Grain wind up with. You guys will do well.

The six year-old has had her own Leupold Yosemite 6x30 binocular since her third birthday, she is a heck of an animal spotter. The younger one will get hers soon, I had a heck of a time finding another of the discontinued Mossy Oak Break-Up Pink when she was born, but figured that if I wasn't going to be refereeing binocular wars for the next ten years that I had better find another pair.

I'm not sure she understands that the bird is not called "grouse nuggets" but she likes them and was intent on finding some "grouse nuggets" this weekend. Need to keep that going.

That Leupold Yosemite 6x30 is a fabulous kids binocular.
I would never give any kid anything that I would not own myself. I bought my nephews and nieces mid-range Nikons when they were that age and twenty-five years later they still treasure them.
It took me six months of Internet searches to locate the second pair of pink 6x30 Yosemites, but I finally scored on a NIB clamshell package containing a pair for $69 plus shipping. I think if you do a search every couple of days you should be able to hit on a pair.
That Yosemite is not just a great binocular for the price, it is great period and our family has Swaro, Nikon EDG, Leica and other great binoculars to compare them with. And best of all, they fit kids face.

When daughter #2 was born I started looking for a pair for her and they have been in "cold storage" in the top of our closet for a couple years now. Baby #3 is a boy so it isn't going to be any problem getting him a pair of them in tan or black.
Being six power they have huge depth of field and that makes them great for kids. They get great reviews and we have found them to be very durable. I focused them for a couple years and then handed them to my daughter and the optical quality is very good.
