I don't see a problem. :dunno:
-
Lots of people leave bones in the woods. S.o.p.
-
As long as it wasn't visible from the road, they were just feeding the ravens and yotes. If it was next to the road, I would say it was dumped in poor taste. :twocents:

:yeah:
-
Looks like they got almost all the meat. So, whats the point of the post?
-
I just don't understand how all these people get elk out whole? :dunno:
-
Looks to me as if they did a pretty good job getting as much meat off as they could.
-
Farm bulls, and the owners have tractors :chuckle: go sit on it and shoot some yotes or God willing a big ole cat!!

Biggie bone disposal site! ;) >:( >:(
-
Sorry guys I didn't get to finish the post...this was disposed of right next to a busy road. Traveled by 1000 people per day easily
-
How close? Does it really bother people as they drive by? Do they even notice it? What I hate is when people back up to a gate and dump carcasses right where people park and get out of their vehicle to walk behind the gate.
-
Someone dumped a carcass, what's wrong with that?
-
Theres always gonna be slobs. I bet anti hunters really get excited about that kind of crap too.
-
They cleaned those up pretty well! Good Critter meat right there!!
-
As a butcher by trade, the only error I see is not making stock from the bones. Otherwise, that guy or gal did an amazing job deboning that critter. We need to stop judging the actions of our fellow hunters who act according to the law. If it bothers you so much, move the damn carcass.

Well to me it looks like 2 Elk. A bigger one and a smaller one. Am I right? Could it be poaching? Who knows right? We will never know.
-
Correct, it is either two animals or one of Dr Seuss' Push Me-Pull You's...
-
Here's what my problems with it are. Number one this carcass was dropped outside of a no hunting training area on ft Lewis. So a it was either poached and discarded next to the main road or b someone drove out here to drop it off and leave. Either way it doesn't belong right next to the main road. Idk just my own issue i guess.
-
Yeah to me it looks either like Cow & Calf and they were poached or Bull & Cow? 2nd one is pretty small. But like I said earlier we will never know!
-
Unit 666 is open to the harvest of any elk, any weapon of choice. My guess it was dumped pretty close to that area.

:yeah:
I agree leaving a carcass next to a busy road is a distasteful practice.
-
Obviously it was a Bigfoot.
-
Where exactly was this at? I'm assuming on Ft Lewis, but do you know what TA?
-
On 8th ave s
-
So TA15? 11? or 13?
-
Not sure the exact Ta. Take a left off of 507 go down 8th ave s up hill bones on right
-
All of those TA have been opened this past week.
-
Awesome! To hunt those do I need to go through the outdoor rec place on post?
-
If you're on FB. I run a page called Hunting and Fishing JBLM. Most, if not all the info you need us on the pinned post.
I also was trying to bust your balls, I was honestly curious because if people are poaching on JBLM it needs to be reported.
-
I just friend requested you on fb actually
