Anyone know where this gate is? I was up there this morning and found the gate off the main road that goes down to the 7400 Bridge...I'm guessing that that's the 7400 line coming out off the highway there. I was told that 7300 is open. I'm trying to scout out some areas for late archery in the unit. Thanks.

Go up past the locked gate a couple of roads. Turn left. You will find a road that runs north and south. Turn south and go until you find the gate. You may have to try a few times. Also I think the gated road of the pavement is the 7300. The north south road is the 7400. Locals call it the 7400.

Yeah, I probably didn't drive up far enough. I just saw a lot of orange gates. Is that the best spot to get in to the bridge? I was trying to get back into the fields for late archery, but if I have to come in from the main road, it's double the distance. Saw about 50 elk in a farmers field on the way up...not a single branched bull in the whole herd. I almost thought the guy was raising them.

Check google earth. The route in pretty clear. Look for field #1 on the east side of the river (the only field on the east side).
There are a couple of other ways. One is a long haul the other is steep but, get you into the middle a little faster if you are in shape and riding a bike.

Serious? try exploring and spend a day or two in the field.

its about 26 mile marker guard rail on left the paved road sweeps to the right if you see save creek you went too far go through gate at four way take left to go to bridge and if you want to go to the other game field at four way take right and in clear cut road to left you will see part of it if you drive too far on left over the hill i always seen more elk over the bridge good luck

Thanks for the information. I'll go check it out over the weekend.
