Title: Late season deer help (puget sound area)
Post by: whebert on November 20, 2015, 05:39:26 PM
So, I had an agreement to use some private land this weekend, and it fell through at the last minute. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a newbie in 407 for this weekend.  It looks like there's some DNR land near Lake Roesiger, is that worth checking out?

Any help is appreciated like I said, I thought I had this all worked out but I guess I was wrong.  I'm brand new to hunting but I'll be with a partner who isn't (unfortunately though she's never hunted in the state of WA so it's kind of a blind-leading-the-blind situation).

There is very little to no deer sign in the dnr land in 407.  Most people hunt the east side of the lake but that is not 407.  My buddies went out by lake roesinger and got grouse but no sign for anything else.  PM me if you are ever interested in connecting.  I'm in Everett as well.

I checked out some spots off Menzel Lake road, but really didn't see any sign. There were 2 buck carcasses left at the entrance after modern season, but that's all I saw. There's also a clear cut off Carpenter Rd that's DNR land, and I always saw cars parked there when I was hunting around the corner. Must be a good spot? Good luck!
