So I drove by daroga park this morning just north of wenatchee and that place is loaded with birds. Practically walk across the pond that's how many birds there are. It is closed to hunting, has anyone ever purposed using areas like these as youth hunts?
-
Not that I've ever heard. Afterall it is a park. A few guys I know like the fact it gives the birds a spot to hang out unpressured.

My parents have a place just 10 minutes south of daroga and i texted their neighbor asking about bird activity and he said it's been dead on the river. Has not heard any shots and has not seen anything flying. Anyone else seen this activity around there?

We've had success north of daroga. But we have access to a private orchard. I know its a park, but it goes unused for the most part. It'll probably never happen but I didn't know if it was possible.

I hear banging on the river most everyday.

Wth?! he must be not be paying very much attention lol might have to make my way over there and throw some decoys out. Thanks guys

We own the last orchard before deroga on the water may have to check it out but honestly the bird numbers have been down in that stretch of river from the ol' black hole of diver days. Could be the houses or loss of shore or later migration I'm not sure, but the 8 man limit of widgeon days seem to have passed... Last 5 years have been down hill
