I'm pretty sure that 60,000 lbs figure is the weight of the bear, the scale, the front-end loader, and the truck/trailer. You'll notice that the TARE weight is next to it at 59,820. The first is the weight on the way in, the TARE weight is the weight on the way out.

Post by: JDHasty on January 10, 2016, 09:07:05 AM: A friend on the Colville Rez took me out and showed me one like that last August after I told them about a big black one I saw up on the pass. It was brown and was.... visiting an old orchard. It is huge.

The guy doesn't hunt, but doesn't have anything against hunting as long as nothing goes to waste.
