Title: High Country Black Bears
Post by: kglacken on November 27, 2015, 08:59:27 PM
Im looking for anyone who is willing to share some information on high country black bears. Looking to venture to and get into some more back country hunting. Im not asking for honey holes. Just a fellow hunter looking to branch out and get some info to build off of and do some scouting off of. Im not looking for this info for free, I can offer great information on North Idaho Whitetails, both general areas and tactics if you are interested. I hope someone can help me out with some info and tips. Ive been wanting to do this for many years now and never know where to start. decided I'm going to do it this year and Im starting to gather info now. Thanks in advance!

definitely not a difficult hunt, the key is finding a good supply of berries, water and cover that doesn't get too many people.  There are a lot of spots in this state that hold high country bear my best advice is to find one close enough that you can hit it regularly to watch berries develop, ect..
