Title: take me walleye fishing
Post by: rosscrazyelk on November 29, 2015, 12:16:01 PM
I do not have a boat, and my buddy has not been able to get out the last  few years.. which in turn means I have not been out in the past few years..
I will pay for gas and etc.
My goal is to catch a 10#. I have never broke that goal yet.
I am guessing the fishing gets good feb, march?
Pm me if you are willing.
Thank you

I think there's probably a 10+ around here we could look for.

I have first hand experience with Bluebulls' claims. Don't pass a chance to fish with the walleye God!
I swear he could catch a walleye out of a damn mud puddle.

Fished walleye for 20+ years in WI and ONT, biggest was a 4 1/2 pounder.  Managed to get one a little over 10# at Potholes back in the mid 90's.

Good luck on your search.

I've caught lot's of walleye in Washington but nothing in the 10lb range. That is my goal also. So far a 6 1/2 from Potholes is my largest. I don't have the winter/spring jigging thing down but I would take you out sometime. I think we talked last year but never hooked up at Banks Lake. Maybe Bluebulls has room for 2.  :dunno: We could split all the expenses. I'd love to learn that area of the Columbia. Sorry, didn't mean to thread jack. :chuckle:  I can take you out on Banks in the warmer months, may, June.......

The Columbia from below the Tri-cities up to Lake Roosevelt is the place to go for big walleye, there are even a few places you can catch them off the shore at certain times of year.

You could try night fishing off of O'Sullivan Dam on Potholes Reservoir.  Guys get big walleyes fishing bladebaits and swimbaits from shore after dark every winter. I'm not claiming its hot fishing by any means but I have seen the results.  I've meant to try it while out there duck hunting but just never fit it in. Good luck, hope you get one!

Don't have much time with new job but the BigC is the place to be.. Caught quite a few over that ten pound mark, looking to break that 16lb mark now.. Maybe this January!
