Title: Tree size? and another plan....
Post by: Grizzly95 on January 21, 2009, 08:19:58 PM: So I keep coming up with different ideas for keeping our cams from pulling a houdini, now I have more questions. I have only tried a cam a few times and am some what fresh to the cam thing. Is there an average to the tree diameter used to hang your cams? I know it pretty much depends on where you are.

Post by: Elkstuffer on January 21, 2009, 10:17:14 PM: It all dependes on what is used to secure your camera. Some are bungies. Some are straps. Some cam be locked in a box and bolted to a tree so it doesn't matter the size of the tree. I made a special platform for mine and use a 15 foot black ratchet strap to secure it to the tree. I haven't found one that it wouldn't work on.
