Overheard the news that in kind gesture to ease our pain, the mainstem will open this afternoon only for one MARKED wild coho. Go get em!

As soon as I finish enjoying the other emergency opener, unlimited crappie at Nisqually green can, I''ll dig it up.

Pile perch made me laugh also. I like those numbers for the satsop, but I got to cross the Toutle this morning at 7:30 and it was at 54k and dropping!  Kalama Campground was evacuated also.

So at that gauge height do the Humpback Wahles migrate up the Toutle to spawn?  I do understand to not fish until the river is on the drop. Maybe drift fish some of those 4' round bouncy balls you gets at Walmart with a tuft or two of yarn?

OK. That makes sense.......  I'll just stalk up on the 4' bouncyies for now........
