Title: new to me xd 9mm, any tips or tricks I should know about?

So im picking up a used 4" xd 9mm tonight, never owned or really paid attention to these guns.

gonna use it as a EDC most likely, or possibly trade/sell it off if I don't like how it shoots, picked it up doing some horse trading, so its worth the gamble.

anyhow, any tips or tricks to these guns I should know about. any must do mods I should look into?
