Since the floods are over (for now) I was wondering if anyone has floated the Hoh? I have asked around checking if there are any nasty sweepers or dangerous debris blocking the river but have not heard much. I was thinking of fishing next week on the "mid river" say from Morgans to Minnie Petersons. I will be flyfishing, swinging with a 2 hander. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Everything is floating fine. Nothing out of the norm. There are always sweepers, debris and whatnot on this river. Above and below the canyon. But nothing different than anything you havent encountered before if you have spent any time on it. 1400 should be good for swingin flies.
Queets was only 1 foot of vis yesterday, Clearwater is perfect and has some nice fish.

I know of a few sweepers up the Brandeberry Creek, but should be no problem since it has no water in it....Gleige should even be able to handle the sticks ..See ya Hooter!! Let's hit the Clearwater ASAP!

Talked to a friend yesterday who floated, said he had to put in at Spruce Creek? Where is that? Is that just below the Park, where the rip rap has a large pipe coming from river right? Anyhow that is where he said they had to put in, and it was a pain. He said that in many places the river was way over there, approx 400 yards from last year! Lots of changes. They floated to Minnie, got 1, 14 # colored up hatchery fish and 1 pull. The fish checker said that right now its a "tweener", between hatchery fish and waiting for the Natives. I usually do well from late Feb to the closing in April, hope the nets stay out, yeah right. Thats one I just don't get, we have to release ALL wild fish, and I have no problem with that, as you know. But to target all the wild fish right through April, is just crazy, but then again so is our Fish & Wildlife Dept! Great management boys! Escapement, yeah lets see them get through the net which is ALL the way across the river. They (indians) really help with our management so we will all will have healthy runs in the future. Yeah, right. Our biggest mistake... sorry Tonto, no casinos until we get fish & wildlife consessions. It's 2008 you don't need to kill EVERYTHING!!! Sorry but this stuff gets in my BVD'S!

Preaching to the choir Hooter! I don't even let myself get started on it anymore now that I have high blood pressure.
We had our golden chance with the casinos. I think you hit the nail exactly on the head.
