So I bought my multi-deer tag the morning they went on sale at the Walmart in South Hill Puyallup. When I purchased the permit, the lady made me give my general modern tag to her and then she handed me my multi tag. Now I get a letter saying that it is in the computer as I have both tags and must send my general tag in to avoid any enforcement involvement. That's what they said enforcement involvement. Sounds like they didn't have this thought through when they decided to have them go on sale if people didn't buy them after the draw. Should have told the dealers to send the tags back to them. Anyhow I hope I can resolve this easily Monday.
Anyone else recieve a letter yet? Also why has it taken 4 months for a letter?!

That's odd. The license dealer cannot give you the multi-season tag unless you turn in your original tag at that time.
And why the letter would have just been sent out now- I have no clue. If they truly thought you got your multi-season tag without turning in the other one, the letter should have gone out immediately.

Ya I can't believe I got the letter i handed the tag over into her hands and watched her trash it. So I have no way of proving of getting rid of the tag because I handed it to her. Knowing this state they'll take it to court. We'll see what they say Monday

I'm sure it's just a clerical screw up. Don't worry about it. It's not your mistake, it's their's.

Sounds like the letter should go to the dealer not you! BurEaucracy at its finest! Good luck clearing that up... Their mistake is your headache!

Received the same letter. I called the WDFW, I explained to them the regular season tag was taken by the dealer. They said there system showed I had both tags, they were able to remove the original tag from the system on their end.

I thought this year was the first year they went on sale to the general public who applied?

I had got my general tag, then I got drawn for the multi season tag so I had to turn in the general tag when I went in and got the multi season tag. Simple as that no issues.
